RSPB Bempton Cliffs in East Yorkshire is my favourite place in Britain to photograph majestic gannets. These magnificent birds can be viewed up close, especially on blustery days, when strong sea breezes help the birds gain height and reach the very top of the cliffs.
 
On this occasion it allowed me to take some close up portraits looking throught the tall grasses, concentrating of the elegant shape of their necks and bill, and the pale blue ring around the bird's eye.
 
All images are professionally printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag for the highest quality possible, and are printed with a white border for framing.
