RSPB Bempton Cliffs in East Yorkshire is my favourite place in the UK to see majestic gannets. These magnificent birds can be viewed up close, especially on very blustery days, when strong sea breezes help the birds gain height and reach the very tops of the cliffs.
 
On this occasion it allowed me to take some close up portraits looking throught the tall grasses, concentrating of the elegant shape of their necks and bill, and the pale blue ring around the birds' eyes.
