Bempton

East Riding of Yorkshire, England.

RSPB Bempton Cliffs is one of those places that I have been visiting each spring and early summer for many years, and it never loses its magic. There is something very special about looking out from the gannet viewing platform and having these magnificent birds fly so close that you could almost reach out and touch them. And yet, there is something otherworldly in their gaze. Their sheer chalk cliff homes seem so dizzyingly precarious, and it always astonishes me just how complete they are in their environment.
