RSPB Bempton Cliffs in East Yorkshire is my favourite place in Britain to see majestic gannets. These magnificent birds can be viewed up close, especially on very blustery days, when strong sea breezes help the birds gain height and reach the very tops of the cliffs. Here they gather to collect gifts (love tokens if you like) for their partners, which reaffirm and strengthen the bond between them during the breeding season.
